Baylys is a modern, minimal WordPress theme with easy-to-use, flexible theme options so you can create your new website or blog in just a few minutes. Baylys has a very light and liberal design so your content can really stand out and get featured the way it should be. You can use Baylys as your new blog theme, show your photography, create a lifestyle or travel blog or even use the theme for your portfolio website.

The Baylys Theme Options

You can customize the Baylys theme easily by choosing the options on the theme options page (see Appearance / Theme Options). Here you can choose your own link and footer background colors, set the layout to a right or left sidebar or a single-column layout, choose a custom footer text, automatic excerpts, upload your own logo image or activate the Responsive Slider or share buttons. To show a header image instead of the slider your can upload your own header images (the width should be 1400px, the height is flexible) just go to the Appearance / Header option. If you want a slighter darker background color or a background pattern (e.g. from ) go to Background option and customize the settings there.

The Layout Options

In the theme options settings you can choose to show your sidebar on the right, on the left or don’t show a sidebar at all. In case you don’t want to use the sidebar you can still add your widgets to the footer widget area.
Next to the layout option on the theme options page you can also choose the page templates Fullwidth, Without Sidebar or Portfolio to create different kind of pages for your site.

Sidebar and Footer Widget Areas

There are two different widget areas in the Baylys theme. You can add widgets to the sidebar and to the four-column footer widget area. Baylys features the custom widgets About, Featured Video, Flickr Preview and Social Links.
